Last night Clare went to a costume party.
After much deliberation she decided to be a Greek goddess. (our Meg costume from Hercules has been so useful)
Next she had to pick a goddess, Aphrodite, Athena, or Artemis (the others weren't even considered)
We looked up images and stories for each online.
Artemis: goddess of young girls and of the hunt. Known to turn men into deer.
Clare's thought: Why would you do that!? Not her.
Aphrodite: goddess of love and beauty traditionally painted naked
Clare's thought: I don't want to be the naked goddess.
Athena: goddess of wisdom, crafts and war. Symbol: the owl.
Clare's thought: She knows everything and she likes owls. This is the goddess for me.
